Introducing: The New Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Reference 26574 (Details, Official Pricing)
Audemars Piguet has delivered a new interpretation of one of its most famous model, the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. The most recent emphasis follows the arrival of the last QP wristwatch in 2012 with a redesigned and upsized development, a slightly more complicated presentation, more clear dial, and bigger case size. All subtleties below.
The Reference 26574.1220 comes in four unique adaptations, two in hardened steel and two in rose gold with either a naval force blue or silvered “Grande Tapisserie” dial. Because of the amplified case size (now 41mm up from 39mm), the dial and its signs are more clear. Dial show incorporates: day, date, cosmic moon, month, jump year, and now the 52 weeks of the year showed on an external chapter ring by means of a third place mounted hand.
The new automatic type 5134 development, noticeable through the sapphire precious stone case back, is slightly bigger (to accommodate the new case) than the prior type 2120 development and is 4.31mm thick.
