Watch Spotting: Watch Industry Mega-Designer Eric Giroud Wearing A Vintage Heuer Carrera Reference 1158CHN At SIHH 2017
So what was this extraordinary creator brandishing on his wrist? A Heuer Carrera from the 1970s – explicitly one of my number one references of Carrera, 1158CHN. This is a 18k yellow gold Carrera with brilliant dial and dark sub-registers. This reference is moderately uncommon and was given to Formula 1 drivers now and again . What made this brilliant Carrera considerably more uncommon is it is really a family legacy – Jack Heuer is really the uncle of Eric’s significant other. Indeed, Switzerland is a little place.
The motivation behind why I decided to snap a photo of this watch and highlight it here? Indeed, in light of the fact that you don’t see a ton of vintage watches at the SIHH and you don’t see a great deal of Heuer specifically, and to see a particularly persuasive individual in the business going this course, and again with an undisputed top choice, was downright cool.
